In keeping with the objectives laid out by the trustees, the organization actively reaches out to parent groups and individuals requiring support, particularly in the local languages. WeCAN strives to bridge the knowledge gap among parents about autism, its implications for the child and the family by providing them with all the information they need for a better understanding of autism.
Through our outreach programs, We CAN conducts workshops for groups of parents of children with autism. This is followed by one to one consultations with individual families from the group to address their specific concerns across as many sessions as the family needs to feel supported.
The trust has created a support wing that specifically provides diagnostic services and extensive counselling to families across socio-economic and language barriers. Our dream is for this wing to function as a one point reference for families through the lifespan of the child.
